Positioning

I can't answer any of the below question with a clear, crisp, and concise answer...time to get to work!

1. Are you crystal clear on exactly what service you are providing to your clients and prospects?

2. Are you certain about who your ideal clients are and have clearly defined demographic and psychographic profiles for who they are?

3. Do you know how and where to find these prospects?

4. Do you have a Unique Market Identity (UMI) based on the demographic you serve, the quality of your offerings, the standard of your service, your price, your guarantee or some other definable criterion?

5. Is your UMI consistent in all of your sales and marketing materials?

6. Do you have a Magnetic Marketing Message (MMM) that clearly differentiates you from your others and makes you a more attractive proposition?

7. Do you have a clearly defined service philosophy or mission statement?

8. Are you clear on the benefits that clients will really receive from working with you?(WIIFM)

9. Do you know who your immediate competition is, how they operate, how much they charge and what why your prospects might choose them instead?

10. Do you know the failings of your competition and do you have a strategy that capitalises on those failings

Unique Market Identity

Brainstorm; Contrast and compare UMI
I'm struggling a bit to nail this down...
.
I work with athletes who are looking to push to the next level of fitness and have been missing the key ingredients to do so. My approach is unique because I am a former Marine, Elite athlete, and fitness expert who has trained and coached in exclusive environments where standards and expectations are high.
.
I help athletes of all abilities push to the next level. My athletes include Navy SEALS, Secret Service personnel, tri-athletes, recreational warriors, and general fitness population; My program is scalable to all levels, my expectations and commitment to excellence is not. As a former Marine, Elite athlete, and performance coach I understand the key elements in creating the environment for success and the standards that go hand in hand with it.
.
I work with athletes of all levels who have a burning desire to succeed. My athletes are dedicated, focused, and determined. My approach to fitness is unique because as a former Marine and elite athlete understand the need for a higher standard and commitment to excellence. My experience has lead to a program where expectations to "put it all on the line" are the norm not the exception. My approach is simple; put good people in an environment where they can succeed by utilized my skill as a coach and surrounding them with like minded and dedicated athletes.
.
I help determined athletes focus in on their potential because they have a burning desire to succeed beyond their current level of fitness. My approach is unique because I am a former Marine, elite athlete, and performance coach who has blended my experience and knowledge into a training environment where standards and expectations breed results.

Idea

I want to expand my services into running 1 day clinics.
I also want to have a system in place to run off-site classes.
I want to have a system in place to run off-site camps this summer.

I have a email list I rarely promote to or connect with.

I want to start emailing regularly again.

My thoughts are a "trouble shooting form" series.

I want to promote my name and also keep the power of CrossFit in the series.

"Jerry Hill trouble shoots your CrossFit Form"

Jerry Hill's quick tip on CrossFit form"

Jerry Hill corrects CrossFitters flaws

Jerry Hill's CrossFit Coaching Cues

Jerry Hill's CrossFit Coaching Tips

Jerry Hill's CrossFit Tips

###########

The Video series would serve multiple purpose:

1. Help my current clients with technique
2. Promote my name locally and regionally
3. Create a potential agenda and subject for 1-day clinics
4. Keep me in touch with my email list

I like this idea because it's what I do everyday and love to do.
Why not use this medium to not only help my current clients but also future prospects and email list...

Thoughts

Every emotion I feel comes from my integrity
My emotions tell me how I'm doing in my life
Having awareness of emotions enables me to change my story, my circumstance

I live with awareness

Is awareness alone enough to change my story?

Update

I've been working the excellence model every second of every day.
Things are in place, things are evolving...management is simply slow, I'm OK with that because a major key for me is balance.

Been working on some "Performance Challenges" for my clients.
This has been on the burner for a while.
Action finally took the place of thinking about it.

Also been working on compiling a data base for all of my clients "Benchmark performances".
Again, this has often been talked about, discussed, and debated in my mind...finally took action on it.

These were both actions toward excellence.

Took a 3-day weekend with the family...last day off was Memorial Day.
I need to plan more fun get-aways with the family!

Would LOVE to hit the Caribbean with the family this Winter.

I got the kids in a quality Ballet class, psyched about that...still want to get them swim lessons though.

The Wife is taking 3 short days from work and 2 long days.
This gives her more quality time with the kids and opens up time for me to work on the business.

Earl Nightengale's formula

DEMAND - How much demand is there for what you do?
ABILITY - How able are you to meet the demand?
DIFFICULTY TO REPLACE - How hard would it be to replace you right now?

Demand: There is a HIGH demand for a fitness program that delivers hardcore fitness in a creative, fun, and inspiring environment. There is high demand for a fitness coach with the experience, skill, and character to lead others to their fitness dreams and beyond.

Ability: My ability to meet the demand is very high. I have created an environment where folks can finally go for it and really succeed in their fitness goals. My team continues to push their fitness levels past what they ever dreamed possible.

Difficulty to replace: Darn near impossible. There are very few coaches who are able to bring a diverse group of people together to create a dedicated fitness team and a supporting and inspiring community.

Outcome: I love working with my clients. I pre-qualify all prospects and as a result have a very dedicated crew who works hard, is inspiring, and loves to stretch their limits. I physically work/train 12 hours a week, early mornings only, have a built a six-figure business and have only scratched the surface.
